The head of the Meteo prognostic center, Alexander Shuvalov, spoke about the weather in Moscow over the coming weekend, October 15 and 16.
In conversation with “Evening Moscow” on Thursday, October 13, the forecaster said that in Moscow and the region, despite the prevailing cloudiness and rare clearings, precipitation is not expected.
According to Shuvalov, “these will be the last days without precipitation, since the beginning of the new week rains and cloudy weather are already predicted.”
The temperature regime will correspond to typical indicators for October. At night, the thermometers will show +6 degrees, during the day – up to +8 … +10 degrees. On Sunday, October 16, the air can warm up to +12 degrees, writes “Moscow”.
Atmospheric pressure is expected to be slightly above normal due to the arrival of an anticyclone.
Shuvalov added that the golden autumn will not leave the capital next weekend: in order for the trees to lose their colorful foliage, at least three days of strong winds with precipitation are needed, and this is not expected on the weekend.
On October 12, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, refuted the popular weather omen for the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, a church holiday celebrated by the Orthodox on October 14. So, the word “cover” is often associated with the first snow. According to Vilfand, “It is believed that on October 14, the Feast of the Intercession, there should be snow, but this sign does not work, it does not correspond to history.”
October 11 website kp.ru reported that the cyclones will pass to Moscow only at the beginning of next week, bringing with them a cold snap and heavy rains. First, they will overwhelm Kaliningrad on October 16, and the next day they will reach Moscow and the Moscow region.
