It is time that Warner Bros Discovery talk about Ezra Millerthe actor who played The Flash in the DC Extended Universe, and who is expected to appear in a big-budget film due out in the near future.
The actor is currently “unavailable”, as he is trying to escape the delivery of some important documents for a restraining order. His resume is far from rosy, and it only gets worse.
Ezra Miller was examined for some disturbing behavior as well allegations of misconduct. The actor, who is currently 29, began to get talked about negatively in 2020, when a video was released that showed him the protagonist of an attempt to suffocate a fan. In 2022 the incidents of impropriety increased, with the aggravating circumstance of allegations of harassment and disorderly conduct at a karaoke bar in Hawaii.
Miller was also accused (and later arrested) of throwing a chair at a woman following an altercation, hours after her court appearance last April. The actor was also forced two restrictive orders, one to a 12-year-old minor in Greenfield, Massachusetts (and who cost him the documents he’s running away from), and the other to Gibson Iron Eyes, an 18-year-old Standing Rock activist. Earlier this week, Miller he deleted his Instagram accountafter sharing some cryptic messages that appeared to mock the police.
Tony Freinbergpresident of Edendale Strategies, a crisis management and strategic communications firm, said:
When you start to have a series of things like these, you are faced with a very troubling pattern. One worries about what to say about someone’s well-being and what is said about someone’s fitness for being the face of a great franchise like Warner Bros.
Anything could be a misunderstanding. But when things start to be three, four, five then the situation becomes worrying.
Warner Bros. era remained silent during the arrests and various allegations of assault on Miller, but some inside sources said they were held in April emergency meetings to discuss the most recent facts and how to proceed with the next work of the study. Although the films already scheduled were confirmed, Warner Bros. it had suspended any future production involving Ezra Miller. Evan Niermanauthor of “Crisis Averted” and CEO of Red Banyan, said:
Silence is not an option. At some point, by choosing not to say anything, you are in any case communicating a message.
Warner Bros. is definitely in a difficult situation. On social media, many are clamoring for Miller to be left at home. However, firing an actor and starting shooting all over again isn’t an easy choice, and it’s incredibly expensive. The film studio may not be able to recover enough box office profits to make up for the losses. Freinberg added in this regard:
I think Warner Bros. is in a horrible position. It’s not a common thing that people feel sorry for film studios, but I genuinely regret that for Warner Bros. there is such a nightmare situation, as they try to figure out what to do because every option they have will hurt them.
In addition to the recent events involving Ezra Miller, we recall that Warner Bros. recently merged with Discovery in an agreement from 43 million dollars, which means that the company’s top management are not only inheriting the content but also the resulting crises. Whatever decision the firm makes for the future, everyone agrees that it will need to be made quickly.
