Our national team for physical strength is participating in the Asian Championship organized by the Continental Federation of Physical Strength, in cooperation with its Turkish counterpart, which is hosting the competitions from 25 to 30 December, with a mission headed by Muhammad Abdul Rahim Al-Marri, Secretary-General of the Federation, Faisal Al-Ghais Al-Zaabi, member of the Board of Directors, and coach Khaled Al-Haj And the administrator Ibrahim Al Ali, and the players: Muhammad Al-Khanbouli, Omar Al-Shehhi, Ali Al-Mazmi, Abdullah Al-Mazmi, Rashid Lootah, Majid Reda and Mansour Al-Marzouqi.
Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Marri, Secretary-General of the Federation, said that participation in this tournament aims to achieve more colored medals to enhance the position of the UAE physical strength sport on the Asian arena, especially since the UAE enjoys a distinguished position in this. He continued, “We expect the tournament to be very strong, with the participation of the best international players, despite this, the players of the national team have prepared for the tournament in a manner commensurate with the strength of the tournament.”
Regarding the administrative efforts, Al-Marri said: On the sidelines of the tournament, a meeting will be held with the Asian Federation of Physical Strength to discuss hosting the Asian Championship next year 2022 and also to approve training courses related to preparing coaches and arbitrators and qualifying them for the better, pointing to the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the Asian and Emirati federations to support sports physical strength in the state.
