Bari – The Adriatic region has been hit by an earthquake again. The epicenter was roughly halfway between Italy and Croatia, which is why effects were felt in both countries.

According to the German Federal Association of Geothermal Energy, the earthquake can be classified as “mild” to “medium”. With values between 4 and 5 on the Richter scale, there may be visible movements of room objects and vibration noises. However, there is usually no damage here. “Everything shook, chaos”: Earthquake hits Italy and Croatia
The short and sharp shock was felt in many Adriatic communities, such as the Italian one La Republica reported. But the quake was also felt further inland – particularly in the upper floors of buildings. On social networks, many users report furniture and lamps wobbling and sliding around. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), impacts were felt within a radius of 200 kilometers. On the western side of the Adriatic, this zone extends to the cities of Split, Sarajevo and Zenica.
“It shook quite a bit” and “everything was shaking, chaos,” were some user reactions to the EMSC post. According to the EMSC, aftershocks may occur during the day.
