Drummers from Mula, Moratalla, Hellín and Agramon met yesterday in Mula to play the drum and celebrate that, in November 2018, this practice of fifteen towns in Spain with tradition and roots in drumming was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco. The event lasted twelve hours, and the participants toured Emeterio Cuadrado avenue, Boticas street and the Town Hall square. The next appointment will be in the middle of next March, in the celebration of the National Days of Exaltation of the Drum and the Bombo, which will take place in Tobarra.
The president of the association of drummers of Mula, Pedro Manuel Ruiz, informed that they are working to recover two obsolete traditions: the preparation of the day of San José, and the floral decoration of Holy Wednesday morning.
