Tuesday The arrested protesters of the environmental movement Elokapina have been released, the Helsinki police told Helsingin Sanomat.
A total of 134 people are suspected of assaulting the police. One is also suspected of causing damage in connection with climbing on the roof of the bus.
Police interrogated the arrested persons during Tuesday evening and the night before Wednesday. All those arrested were released during the evening and night.
Earlier on Wednesday, the police incorrectly said that those arrested would have been fined for shouting at the police. In reality, they have only just been questioned.
“The police are preparing the preliminary investigation protocols on the matter, which will be submitted to the prosecutor for consideration of charges”, head of investigation, crime commissioner Kalle da Silva Gonçalves says in the announcement.
Animal rebellion showed on Tuesday opinion in the center of Helsinki. Protesters blocked traffic at the Kaisaniemi roundabout. The police told HS that they ordered the demonstrators to leave and arrested 137 people.
According to the police, all those arrested participated in the Elokapina demonstration. The police interrogated all the suspects except two under 15 years old.
