Satisfaction new housing has fallen, according to Rakennusteollisuus RT’s annual Epsi rating survey.
Last year, construction companies received an average of 76.4 from new home buyers. Before the corona pandemic in 2019, the industry’s rating was 77.7.
Satisfaction is still good: satisfaction is measured by index points on a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 to 60 means dissatisfied, 60 to 75 means satisfied and more than 75 means very satisfied.

The most important factors in new construction were the location of the apartment, the functionality of the floor plan, the price and the level of equipment.
The environmental friendliness or smart home features of the construction and materials were at the tail end of the list.
Satisfaction the reasons varied by region.
Residents of Uusimaa especially appreciated the location of the apartment with good transport connections and its own plot of land. Elsewhere, the versatility and energy efficiency of the home were more important.
The survey was answered by 860 new home buyers who had received a home in the past year, and 963 of the other population interviewed.
