The Al Wathba Stallions Prix Spahis Cup race, over a distance of 2250 metres, at the French Montiens track, was allocated to fillies and colts at the age of only three years. They competed for financial prizes amounting to 12 thousand euros, and the filly won “Azwa Al Shahaniya” for Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, under the supervision of Thomas Forsey, and driving Margot Romary, the title of the filly “Hasna” Lyas, was managed by Horse Racing Management, under the supervision of de Golemin, and led by Lucas Armand, and the champion recorded 2:33:50 minutes.
The second race of the Al Wathba Stallions Cup at the Montbain Racecourse, for the Prix Fernando Floté title over a distance of 2,250 metres, with a total prize money of 12,000 euros, was allocated to horses aged four years and above. “Casso-Hippolyte”, owned and trained by Clébert Chenot, and driven by Vincent Chenette, succeeded in capturing The title is from “Angus” Laberend van Dalfsen, supervised by Damien Vatrigant, and conducted by Sammy Lee.
On the other hand, Ivan Yordanov’s “Hermes du Etiole”, under the supervision of Yulian Yordanov, and driven by Arif Marnov, won the Stallions Jump Cup for a distance of 1,720 metres, with a total prize pool of 5,000 euros, in a brilliant manner, leading from start to finish in the race held at the Beliusti Racecourse in the Romanian capital, Bucharest. With the participation of 8 purebred Arabian horses aged three years and above, born in Bulgaria, and the host country is Romania, the champion recorded 1:56:00 minutes.
The festival includes races for the crown jewel of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Zayed Cup, the Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Cup, the Al Wathba “Stallions” Cup, and the World Forum for Purebred Arabian Horse Racing.
The first races of the festival began last January, with new races being added this season in 2024, and 150 local and international races will be organized around the world, including races from the categories classified as the first, second and third categories.
