Hurricane Fiona made landfall early Saturday in Nova Scotiain eastern Canada, the US National Hurricane Center said.
With maximum winds of 144 kilometers per hour, this phenomenon is the third hurricane of 2022 in the Atlantic and so far it is the only one of force majeure.
The typhoon has passed through Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, parts of the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Fiona is expected to affect parts of Atlantic Canada as a powerful hurricane-force cyclone.
