Baby Aiden lost his family: His mom Irina McCarthy, 35, was a finance graduate, and his dad Kevin McCarthy, 37, was a Jaguar Gene Therapy worker. Both died on July 4 after participating in the Independence Day parade in Illinois, United States.
Robert Grimo, a young man of 21 years, overshadowed the celebration. From the hand of a semi-automatic rifle he shot at a group of people inside the parade. It killed seven and left 26 people injured, including the couple’s two-year-old son, who was rescued by his neighbors to keep him in a safe place.
The aggressor was arrested a few hours after the event. Although the Police have not yet given a motive for the attack, ‘Bobby’, as he has been called by the people, is accused of murder and is subject to life imprisonment.
After the featured incident, Aiden’s grandparents picked him up and showed their shock at the loss of the boy’s parents.

The GoFundMe website raised funds for little Aiden, upon learning that he was orphaned, in search of helping his family deal with the tragedy.
The end of the collection was 500,000 dollars (2,191,770,000 Colombian pesos). However, they have already reached more than 2.5 million dollars, thanks to the 46,000 donors. Among the supportive people is the billionaire William Ackman, who donated 18,000 dollars (78,903,720 Colombian pesos).

On Monday, July 4, many people expressed their criticism of the events on social networks due to the frequency of mass shootings due to the lack of regulation on the carrying of weapons in the North American country. In addition, the millionaire Ackman maintained: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”
