The infections of COVID-19 continue within the world of soccer and specifically within the Liga MX Femenil and this time, the Atlético de San Luis team is the protagonist of this story, as it was reported through a club statement that the Potosinas presented nine positive cases in the latest Covid tests carried out by the institution.
This situation was not overlooked within the league and for this reason, a statement was issued on January 13 of this year where it was reported that the match between Atlético de San Luis and the Cruz Azul team, corresponding to the day 2 of the Clausura 2022 tournament would be postponed.
On the downside, the good news for both teams is that the postponement was not very long, since the match will take place on Tuesday, January 18 at 7 p.m. at the Alfonso Lastras, just one day after the the day, therefore, neither of the two teams will lose pace for the following dates.

Of course, it will be necessary to see how the San Luis team presents itself after the nine casualties with which they will face their match against Cruz Azul, a team that has already added its first three points of the tournament after defeating the Mazatlán team 2- one. On the other hand, Atlético de San Luis also comes from adding three after beating the Bravas de Juárez by the slightest difference.
It is also worth mentioning that this is not the first event related to Covid-19 that affects the league. Well, let’s remember that the first game of the current champions against Querétaro was postponed due to the number of positive cases in the Rayadas team.
On the other hand, teams like América, Necaxa and Puebla have also presented several positive cases in recent days. Once again, the pandemic is becoming a threat to the league and sports in general. Hopefully this situation can be overcome very soon without affecting or cutting the pace of our football.
