Al Ain University (AAU) was able to achieve academic achievement by obtaining a “5-star” rating as a public institution according to the “QS Stars” rating system for the year 2024.
The achievement came in each of the following categories: teaching, employability, international standard, university facilities, social responsibility, inclusiveness, research and pharmacy and pharmacology programme.
The QS Stars rating reflects Al Ain University’s outstanding performance across key indicators that play a pivotal role in the success and development of higher education institutions.
This ranking is considered the highest of its kind, as universities are evaluated across a wide range of important key performance indicators according to pre-defined international standards, and ratings are awarded from one star to five stars (the highest rating) based on their performance.
Dr. Ghaleb Al-Rifai, President of Al Ain University, confirmed that this achievement is added to the university’s record of distinguished academic achievements, which strengthens its position as a distinguished educational institution locally and globally. For his part, Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat, Vice President of the University for Accreditation and Quality Assurance, said that cooperation with the “QS Stars” classification system has already helped Al Ain University move forward towards some specialized fields. Al Ain University will focus on other criteria and indicators from the QS Stars rating system, and hopes to improve more in the future.
