Regarding the vote to renew Fahd Ali Al Shamsi as Secretary-General of the AFC, he said: Fahd Ali is one of the distinguished sporting competencies, and he has demonstrated throughout the past period his ability to bear responsibility and communicate positively with all parties on the Asian continent and outside it, and thanks to the efforts of the Emirati and Asian federations, we have achieved many gains. The sport of jiu-jitsu at all levels, most notably accreditation in many international organizations, and allowing it to participate in the Asian Games, the World Games, and others.
Regarding the AFC’s plans in the next stage, he said: Our programs that contributed to spreading the game in Asia will continue and will increase, at the levels of expanding the base of practitioners, uncovering and refining talent, creating champions, organizing more tournaments, and raising the efficiency of qualified technical personnel at the level of coaches and referees. And supporting national federations with the programs, expertise and workshops they need to bring the game to all countries of the Asian continent. We assumed responsibility and the number of members of the national federations did not exceed 12 members.
