The Badajoz court, which last week requested documentation following a lawsuit from the pseudo-union Clean Hands regarding David Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, brother of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has opened investigation proceedings this Monday for alleged crimes against the Public Administration , the Public Treasury, embezzlement, prevarication and influence peddling. The judge is investigating Sánchez, the president of the Badajoz Provincial Council and another worker from that provincial administration, according to the Superior Court of Justice of Extremadura.
The judge of the Court of Instruction Number 3 of the capital of Badajoz has demanded that the Provincial Council send him Sánchez’s contract. Last week he asked for documentation last week. David Sánchez has been working for seven years – before his brother became head of the Executive – in the orchestra of the Badajoz Conservatory of Music and is coordinator of that activity in the Provincial Council.
Clean Hands, which also filed the complaint against the president’s wife, Begoña Gómez, is now denouncing the brother of the socialist leader for crimes of embezzlement due to published information in which it is stated that David Sánchez does not go to his workplace and resides in Portugal to avoid paying taxes in Spain, a thesis that the PP of Extremadura also defends. In his letter, the pseudo-union also targets the secretary of the Extremaduran socialists and president of the Badajoz Provincial Council, Miguel Ángel Gallardo, and a human resources worker.
