Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Abdullah Muhair Al Ketbi, Minister of Federal Supreme Council Affairs, witnessed the closing ceremony of the 2022 annual shooting competitions, at the Al Reef Shooting Ranges Complex in Abu Dhabi. The celebration began with a review of the most important results that illustrate the mechanism of the annual shooting competition for this year through equipment in the marks qualifying for the final qualifiers, and the number of shooters reached 4450 shooters, in which 3,858 men participated, while the participation of women reached 692 shooters, which took place in four shooting clubs amid precautionary measures followed It has safety standards, namely, the countryside fields complex in Abu Dhabi, the Western Region Square, Masfout shooting range in Ajman, and Fujairah shooting range in Al Hail area. The number of competitions reached 11 competitions in various weapons designated for shooting, such as the Tarket Sprint and the bow and arrow competition. As for the guns, they are: the traditional rifle for the elderly from 60 years and over, rifles will be singles and pistols will be boys from 13 to 17 years old. Through these competitions, three elderly people, one of whom is 85 years old, participated in the “heritage rifle”, a “71-year-old” contestant in the “Sitcon” competition, and in the “Drop dishes” competition, the contestant was 81 years old.
The final results of the “Drop Plates” competition for 2022 came in the following order: first place, Fujairah team, second place, Al-Ain team, third place, Seih Al-Bana team 2%, fourth place, Al-Dhafra team. Before the end of the celebration, the General Excellence Cup was competed between 4 teams through 7 rounds, won by Al Ain team with a time of 14 minutes, as the number of shooters since the launch of the competitions in 2013 until 2022 reached 50,921.
