And the British Foreign Office considered in a statement that negotiations to revive the nuclear agreement will soon become “meaningless.”
“We spent many hours negotiating, and all delegations pressured Iran to be reasonable in its negotiations,” the statement said.
And the British Foreign Office added: “At this moment, we are still unable to enter into real negotiations with Iran.”
“Time is running out without rapid progress, and in light of Iran’s rapid progress in its nuclear program, the JCPOA will soon become an empty shell,” the statement said.
And he added, “We are wasting valuable time in dealing with the new Iranian positions that contradict or go beyond the JCPOA.”
And on Sunday, Iran accused European countries of failing to provide constructive suggestions to help revive the 2015 nuclear deal, after Britain said that Tehran still had time to save the agreement, “but the chance is the last.”
Talks resumed in Vienna last week in an effort to revive the nuclear deal, and both sides are trying to gauge the chances of success after recent talks in the intermittent negotiations.
Under the 2015 agreement, from which former US President Donald Trump withdrew in 2918, Iran agreed to restrict its nuclear program in exchange for easing US, European and United Nations sanctions on it.
The current round of talks in Vienna comes after a 5-month hiatus, following the election of conservative Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
