CBS: Ukrainians do not trust the Kyiv authorities because of lies about the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield
Vladimir Zelensky’s rating fell by 30 percent. At the same time, more than half of Ukrainians stopped trusting parliament while they were lied to for two years about the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield, the TV channel reports CBS with reference to Ukrainians interviewed.
“For two years, the government has been telling the whole country that things are going well at the front,” lamented Anastasia Bulba, who is part of a group of women advocating for the demobilization of their husbands.
In addition, the deterioration of the situation in the Northern Military District zone undermines the authority of the authorities among Ukrainians, according to the TV channel’s story. For example, trust in Vladimir Zelensky fell by 30 percent. Anton Grushetsky, an expert engaged in public opinion research, spoke about this.
In the absence of real success in achieving the goals proclaimed by Kiev, citizens of Ukraine are beginning to doubt that the conflict can be ended by military means. A number of Ukrainians believe that this conflict will ultimately be resolved through a political settlement, and not on the battlefield.
Earlier, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that the rating of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is decreasing every month. According to him, Ukrainian citizens do not approve of the actions of the current authorities, and their trust rating is constantly declining.
Earlier, retired major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lapin criticized the behavior of Vladimir Zelensky towards Western leaders.
