The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, the implementation of Operation “Birds of Goodness,” the 50th air drop of humanitarian and relief aid on the Gaza Strip in the Deir al-Balah area, on the first day of Eid al-Adha.
The UAE Ministry of Defense said on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter): “The dropping operation included parcels containing relief materials on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, and in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of the brotherly Palestinian people on this occasion and alleviating their suffering.”
The drop was carried out by a C17 aircraft belonging to the United Arab Emirates Air Force.
The ministry added, “The drop operation took place over isolated and inaccessible areas in the Gaza Strip via a plane carrying 38 tons of food and relief aid, bringing the total aid dropped since the launch of Operation ‘Birds of Goodness’ to 3,382 tons of food and relief aid.”
Thus, the volume of relief aid sent by the UAE to the Gaza Strip by land through the Kerem Abu Salem crossing and by air through Operation Birds of Goodness exceeds approximately 3,752 tons of aid.
Operation “Birds of Good” comes within the framework of Operation “The Gallant Knight 3” to support the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
