Special forces eliminated invaders in pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in Rostov
Special forces stormed Rostov pre-trial detention center No. 1, where two employees were held hostage. The invaders have been eliminated.
“During the special operation to free the hostages in pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Rostov region, the criminals were eliminated, the employees who were held hostage were released and were not harmed,” it says message FSIN.
It was clarified that negotiations with the criminals did not yield results. Storm lasted three minutes. In the assault participated employees of the Russian Guard and special services. None of the employees who participated in the storming of the Rostov pre-trial detention center were previously injured.
An Alpha veteran described the complexity of the operation to free the hostages
Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, member of the Association of Veterans of the Anti-Terrorism Group “Alpha” Andrei Popov, in an interview with Lenta.ru, explained that the criminals who captured the employees of the Rostov pre-trial detention center were well prepared.
The difficulty lies in the fact that prisoners know the place of their deployment just as well, and sometimes even better. They carefully prepare for hostage taking, think through escape plans, evacuation plans
They already have this information, and the operational headquarters just has to find out, check and take measures to prevent the escape of prisoners, Popov said.
The chronology of the escape attempt and hostage taking has been restored
By data Shot, the criminals who took prison staff hostage escaped at night – they knocked out the window bars, rappelled from the third and fourth floors, while one of them fell and broke his arm. After leaving the cells, they sat in the pre-trial detention center, and then grouped up and captured first the junior inspector, 23-year-old Viktor Konchakov, and then the head of the operational department, Alexander Bogma. The invaders demanded a car, a “green corridor” and the opportunity to fly out of the country.
The identities of all the criminals were established. Three of them were convicted in December 2023 for participation in ISIS (IS, an organization recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia) and preparing a terrorist attack – they planned to attack the Supreme Court building in Karachay-Cherkessia. By information Shot, three terrorists – Akiev, Tsitskiev and Gireev – recruited three more prisoners in the pre-trial detention center. They had been planning their escape for months. The publication Baza indicated that the hostage taking had been planned for several months. The curators of the seizure managed to deliver weapons, ISIS flags and communications equipment to the criminals in the detention center. The criminals themselves are probably contained in different cells, but this did not stop them from organizing an escape together.

Police will check the theory that terrorists have foreign coordinators
According to one version, the actions of the criminals in the detention center were coordinated from the outside. About the same wrote Shot – employees of pre-trial detention center No. 1 taken hostage could be told with whom they needed to establish contact and who to recruit in order to be released. Among those with whom the terrorists were offered to come to an agreement were the head of the department of pre-trial detention center-1 and another senior employee.
