According to the words of game director Corinne Busche, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be playable offline and will not have microtransactions: these are features that users were clamoring for and that the team therefore wanted to implement in the new chapter of the BioWare series.
“It’s very important to us that the system is built inside the game client,” Busche explained. “You will be able to play Dragon Age: The Veilguard completely offline, without needing to be connected to the network or linking your Electronic Arts accounts. This was one of the most frequent requests.”
On the same occasion, the game director reconfirmed the absence of any microtransaction or battle pass: the idea is to offer players “a single player experience that is as complete as possible”, and which is therefore not “broken up at the start” in order to then be able to sell extra modules.
