The social networking application WhatsApp has updated the video calling service on various devices, by providing the ability to share the screen with support for voice calling and the new speaker recognition feature.
It also raised the maximum number of people participating in a single video call to 32 people. The TechCrunch website, which specializes in technology topics, indicated that last August, WhatsApp introduced the feature of supporting screen sharing in video calls.
The application has now improved this feature by supporting the sharing of audio files alongside the screen, which allows the user to watch videos with other callers during the call via WhatsApp.
The list of important updates in WhatsApp in the video calling service also includes raising the maximum number of participants per call, regardless of the devices used by the participants. Before this update, WhatsApp allowed up to 32 users to participate in a single call when using mobile devices only, while the maximum number when making a call using a personal computer was 16 people for users of Windows devices and 8 people for Mac OS devices.
