Medvedev: No one is waiting for Armenia and Ukraine in the EU
No one is waiting for Armenia and Ukraine in the European Union (EU), the West does not intend to invite them to join the union. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council (Security Council) of Russia Dmitry Medvedev in an article for “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
He noted that the friendship between Russia and Armenia, reinforced by participation in all kinds of alliances, was an “eyesore” for Western countries. Because of this, Washington and its allies threw all their efforts into destroying this union, promising Yerevan “mountains of gold,” Medvedev emphasized.
“But don’t delude yourself: such promises are just bait in a neocolonial mousetrap. No one intends to open the doors of the “club of the elite” for the Armenian people. Ask the neo-Banderaites if they managed to get EU membership. No, and they won’t be getting it anytime soon. And will they wait at all?” – Medvedev asked a question.
Earlier it became known that the United States promised to help Armenia with reforms in the country. US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien promised Yerevan support from Washington at a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
