The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, appointed Brian Roemmele as advisor to his Government to address issues regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and businessas reported this Tuesday by the Communications Secretariat of the Presidency of the Central American country.
Roemmele, whose resume was not disclosed, thanked the same social network for that “high honor” of being “AI advisor to President Bukele.”
The goal is to lay the foundation for the rational use of machine learning/artificial intelligence and encourage local and international business and education in this field.

Something similar happened in May 2023, when Bukele appointed the Austrian Saifedean Ammous as part of the advisory team of the National Bitcoin Office.
In his June 1 inauguration speech, Bukele promised to “heal” the economy after curing the country of the “cancer” of violence, generated mainly by gang groups.
Let’s focus squarely on the important issues, starting with the economy
