Genoa – Genoa’s public transport company, Amt, explained to Ansa that as soon as the news of the electoral poster mounted upside down on a line 38 bus, with photos of two candidates and deputy minister Rixi upside down, procedures were immediately activated to remedy the situation and discover the perpetrators of the gesture. The manager of the advertising part, the company Igp Decaux, was immediately notified to arrange the poster correctly, and an internal investigation was launched to understand how it could have happened and trace those responsible.
According to the League’s complaint, the bus with the upside-down faces of the candidates Bruzzone and Rosso and of Rixi, it circulated for a long time yesterday afternoon in the area between the Genova Principe station, the Dinegro district and that of Granarolo, on the heights of the city. The investigations are carried out to try to understand whether the poster was already mounted upside down before leaving the bus shed or whether it was positioned upside down during a stop at a terminus.
Rixi’s complaint
“Offensive and defamatory writings against the League’s candidates. Even an upside down sign on buses in Genoa. An attack on the values of respect and civil confrontation”. This is what Edoardo Rixi, a member of the League, reported in a post on social media, attaching photos of a poster affixed upside down on a bus and of other defaced items. “We are not leaving each other intimidate and we continue with determination and respect for democratic values”, concluded Rixi.
