Structures were carried away by the current on Thursday (May 23); will be installed when weather conditions improve
This Friday (May 24, 2024), the Army sent 3 new emergency crossings to Rio Grande do Sul to replace the two that were washed away by the flood. The rupture occurred in the structures set up on the Forqueta river, between Lajeado and Arroio do Meio, and on the Pardo river, in Candelária, on the 5th (May 23).
O Southern Military Command shared on his profile on X (formerly Twitter) a video of the structure being transported to the region. According to the corporation, the new walkways come from military units in São Borja (RS), Tubarão (SC) and Palmas (PR). They will be installed when weather conditions improve.
