São Paulo is the state where the most people died from the disease, with 812; the number of probable cases in the country rises to 5.2 million
The number of people killed by dengue fever in Brazil in 2024 reached 3,038 this Friday (May 24, 2024). There were 38 new registrations since Thursday (May 23), according to data from the Ministry of Health.
It’s a record. The highest number until then was in 2023, when, throughout the year, 1,179 people died from the disease. In 2024, this level was exceeded on April 10th.

In addition to the deaths, Brazil reached a total of 5,239,876 probable cases of dengue this Friday (May 24).
