Al Ain was crowned champion of the U-17 Junior Football Cup, after defeating Al Nassr by two goals to one, in the final match that took place at Baniyas Club Stadium in Al Shamkha.
Al Ain’s goals were scored by Edward Agyapong in the 11th and 87th minutes, while Al Nasr’s goal was scored by Made Adel in the first minute of stoppage time.
The coronation ceremony was attended by Fahd Al-Kassar, member of the Competitions Committee, and Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, member of the Al-Ain Football Club Company Management Committee, and they handed over the gold medals and the championship cup to the Al-Ain team players.
The cup champion began his journey in the tournament in the round of sixteen by defeating Al-Dhaith, back and forth, 6-0 and 8-1, and in the quarter-finals over Bani Yas (3-2, 6-1), while he defeated Shabab Al-Ahli 5-3, in the semi-finals, On aggregate, the home and away matches.
