The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of countries that make up the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) grew 0.4% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the previous three months, according to preliminary data from a report released by the OECD this Thursday , 23.
The result showed a slight acceleration, since the OECD GDP had expanded 0.3% in the fourth quarter of 2023 compared to the third.
Although the OECD’s overall advance in the first quarter was modest, the economies of three-quarters of the group’s countries for which data is available performed better than in the final quarter of last year, the report says.
