There are beautiful things that we do not know why we are attached to them, and we love to do them whenever they are available to us with joy hidden inside, and some of them become like a beautiful childish habit, and we may carry them with us until the decline of age and the advancing years. We continue to do them with joy and childish innocence, and then we are happy. One of those beautiful childish habits that makes the heart go away, and it is difficult for you if it happens and it is difficult for you not to do it with a visible or barely hidden smile:
– This means that it is impossible to resist the hot, fresh bread that you bring from the bakery, and not take a bite of it or smack the whole bread on top. I do not remember that I entered a French bakery and bought a “bucket” and returned with it to the house healthy and sound and free from any curious harm, so usually I would buy Two “breads” of French bread in Paris, one for the road, and one for home. The “baguette” bread keeps tempting you with that warmth in the hand and the tempting smell in the nose, so you can hardly walk two steps, unless you ask yourself something and bite its hot, crispy side or the Kaabouba. And then your hand continues to care for you until you come to it all with childish joy. I wish it would remain with you until old age when you doubt that it is not impure or immoral, and does not have the desires of all life.
– I cannot see the pencil on the carpenter’s ear, and I would not want to pry it from its place. It is part of childhood’s naughtiness and quarrels. If I saw the same pencil falling on the ground, I would not be able to pay attention to it, but on the carpenter’s ear, especially since many carpenters have their ears like “Pray scoops”, you cannot prevent yourself from this childish habit that calls for a hearty laugh.
It is impossible to see a completely closed pistachio and not feel some distress, and you can only angrily throw it into the bowl again with hidden resentment, while wondering if anyone saw you.
One of the tedious things that does not always make you comfortable is seeing the frame of a painting that is crooked. You feel a dizziness in your head and an imbalance that makes you move your neck left and right, and you do not rest until that painting settles in its place with balance and no crookedness.
– I don’t know if this old childhood habit still exists among some of us today, which is that you never see a puffed up or damaged “cycle or car tire” unless you tell yourself to deflate that “tyre” and vent the air in it, so that you can then go running, rejoicing in what you did, without saying anything. Do you know why?
– Why does licking the finger after pouring honey seem like one of the customs and traditions that we are keen not to disappear from our lives?!
– It is impossible for you to see someone “improved over zero” and not bring you that forgotten childish laugh, and you wish you could ignore him, give him your hand and walk away.
– It is impossible for you to see someone enjoying eating “sour limes,” and not have an appetite for it, and not remember childhood sweethearts: “You made me sour, you chewed me up, or else eat it, or give me something!”
