Last Tuesday, the government of Rio Grande do Sul resumed publishing monitoring of infrastructure services in the state, following the heavy rains that began on Monday. According to this Sunday’s bulletin, CEEE Equatorial reported that there are 157,108 points without electricity, representing 8.73% of the total number of customers.
In RGE Sul there are 264 thousand points without electricity, or 8.51% of total customers. At Corsan there are 839,024 customer points without water supply services, around 27% of total customers. Regarding telephony, TIM reported 46 municipalities without telephone and internet services, while Vivo reported 45 municipalities and Claro 24 municipalities.
State schools
The bulletin also says that the guidance for the State Network regarding the return to classes will be released this afternoon after a meeting with all the State’s Regional Education Coordinators.
Data on affected schools (damaged, serving as shelters, with transport problems, access problems and others): 664 schools; 224 municipalities; 27 Regional Education Coordinators; 218,727 students impacted; 250 schools damaged; and 36 schools serving as shelters.
Highways
The rains that hit the state cause damage and changes in traffic on state highways in Rio Grande do Sul. This Sunday (5/5), there are 113 sections on 61 highways with total and partial closures, including roads and bridges, according to the 9am update.
The information is from the Autonomous Department of Highways (Daer), consolidated with the Military Brigade Road Command (CRBM), also covering highways granted and those managed by the Empresa Gaúcha de Rodovias (EGR).
