Nintendo has released the launch trailer for WarioWare: Move it!available today worldwide on Nintendo Switch. To celebrate the launch, the software house launched a very particular promotional campaign, inspired by that of the Ministry of Tourism which saw Botticelli’s Venus as the protagonist, in which Wario tries to become the best Italian virtual influencer.

With his immoderate passion for money and irreverent character, Wario has always been Super Mario’s historic rival. The mustachioed plumber’s nemesis landed on social media to challenge the ambassador of the Ministry of Tourism campaign “venereitalia23” on the occasion of the launch of WarioWare: Move it!, available exclusively on Nintendo Switch starting from 3 November 2023. with the misadventures of the exotic holiday on the island Solo Spasso, where his latest video game is set, the digital entrepreneur Wario has found the time to also explore the wonders of Italy, offering a completely ironic overview of the Bel Paese.
Milan, 3 November 2023 – Known for his eccentric character and an immoderate love of chaos, Wario is the exact opposite of his eternal rival Super Mario and is ready to return to consoles to bring his completely atypical vision to the stage of fun. To do so, on the occasion of the launch of his new video game WarioWare: Move it!available starting November 3rd only on Nintendo Switch, Wario decided to take advantage of the winnings of a holiday to celebrate tourism in Italy, ironically challenging the ambassador of the Ministry of Tourism “venereitalia23” in a clash at the last post. Thus was born “Open to Warioviglia”, the campaign that aims to challenge the concept of perfection and beauty with a desecrating approach and that invites you to embrace fun, just as happens in the minigames included in the latest chapter of the WarioWare series. The journey through the wonders of Italy, explored from an ironic and provocative point of view, has already begun on the Instagram profile warioitalia23, logbook of the new virtual influencer, former digital entrepreneur of the fictional company WarioWare, Inc., based in the Diamond City, founded by the same in 2003 in WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania. Wario’s decades of experience in the field of digital entertainment pushed him to exploit the media storm following the “Open to marvel” campaign to promote and enhance Italian tradition and culture, conveyed through genuine entertainment.
Having left for a holiday on an exotic island in the company of his historic rabble of friends, Wario comes across the mysterious settling stone and its guardians, promptly ending up in trouble. To save his life from local spirits and ancient myths, the greedy, mustachioed antagonist will have to contend with more than 200 movement-based minigames at breakneck speed. These rapid reflex tests, lasting a handful of seconds, have always distinguished the WarioWare series, above all thanks to their intuitiveness and a strong sense of humor in true Wario style. Centering the nostrils of a large nose, laying eggs and waving like seaweed will be just some of the funny actions that will have to be performed by performing the perfect pose among the Locomotive, Chico-Chick, Top-Model, Hands-Chino and Sumo poses. In Party mode, minigames can be played in the company of other friends with up to a total of 4 players who will have to work together to succeed. There will also be Story mode, ideal for multiplying the fun and following the adventures of Wario and his holiday companions. Finally, the Museum will be the point of reference for honing one’s skills by challenging the laws of time and for repeating the most loved minigames without limits.
Wario is a character from the series Super Mario, born as an antagonist in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, a video game released for Game Boy in 1993 as a sequel to Super Mario Land.
