The United Nations said that a convoy carrying humanitarian aid crossed from Egypt into the Gaza Strip on Monday.
The convoy, which is the third to enter the Gaza Strip since the current escalation, consists of 20 trucks.
Egyptian media also reported that aid entered through the Rafah land border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.
Cairo News Channel reported that this batch includes medical and food supplies, noting that a large number of trucks have been prepared in preparation for their entry.
According to UN relief organizations, the aid convoys did not include fuel, which is badly needed to run power generators in hospitals, keep sewage treatment plants running and ensure water supplies.
For his part, Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA), warned that the lack of fuel would lead to more “suffocation” of the people of Gaza, including children and women.
