The plane flying from Moscow to Goa, which was forced to land on January 10 due to reports of “mining”, landed not at a civilian airport, but at a military base in the Indian state of Gujarat. This was told by the actor Oscar Kuchera, who was on board.
“We landed in the state of Gujarat on the way to Goa. We had already been flying for six hours, and the crew commander announced that we should land hard at no one knew where. <...> There was a call that there was a bomb on board our plane. We were not told this, of course. We were in the dark, ”Kuchera shared with Izvestia.
According to him, after getting off the plane, the passengers were met by military men with machine guns, who carefully searched the Russians and their luggage. The actor stressed that, as a result, the bomb was not found on board.
The night before, it became known about the forced landing of an Azur Air aircraft flying from Moscow to Goa.
According to passengers, the plane was checked in India for more than three hours after the report of mining. About 250 passengers of the airliner were forced to sit at the airport while waiting for the end of the check. Before that, Kuchera said that even initially the flight was delayed by 17.5 hours.
