People are being shot dead in the streets of neighborhoods where Israel’s Arab community lives, amid a growing crime wave that many say the police are doing nothing to stop. Organized crime, murders related to illegal usury and settling scores have become more common, according to a study conducted by Baladna in 2022. More than 70% of homicides in Israel occur in the Arab community, which only represents 20% of the population.
