Mexico.- For today, the Category 2 Hurricane Kay on the Saffir-Simpson scale, it will move parallel to the western coast of Baja California Sur and in interaction with the Mexican monsoon, will cause punctual torrential rains in Baja California Sur and punctual strong ones in Baja California. In turn, its extensive cloud bands will produce strong punctual rains in Sonora and very strong punctual rains in Sinaloa.
Likewise, it will cause intense gusts of wind with high waves on the coasts of the mentioned states.
On the other hand, low pressure channels, one extended in the northeast, north and center of the country and another in the southeast of Mexico, in combination with the entry of humidity from both coasts, will cause punctual rains strong to very strong in the states of the Mesa del Norte, Mesa Central and entities of the center and south of the Pacific coast, in addition to showers in Colima and the Yucatan Peninsula.
The aforementioned rains will be accompanied by electric shocks, gusts of wind and possible hail, which could increase the levels of rivers and streams and cause landslides and flooding in low-lying areas.
Finally, it will continue mild to hot evening environment in most of the country, being hot in areas of Campeche and Yucatan, and with very hot maximum temperatures, greater than 40°C over northeastern Baja California and northwestern Sonora.

- Intense rains with torrential punctuals (150 to 250 mm): Baja California Sur.
- Heavy rains with very strong points (50 to 75 mm): Sinaloa (coast), Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Puebla, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Oaxaca and Chiapas.
- Intervals of showers with heavy punctual rains (25 to 50 mm): Baja California, Sonora, Durango, Nuevo León, Nayarit, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Guerrero and Tabasco.
- Intervals of showers (5 to 25 mm): Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
- The aforementioned rains may be accompanied by electric shocks, strong gusts of wind and possible hail, in addition to increasing the levels of rivers and streams and causing landslides and flooding in low-lying areas.
