Something that can be incredible for many, is that video games of Playstation 3 cannot be run natively on newer console Sony, has only been achieved through cloud services. And although many users have already given up, it could be that they are already working on a way to bring classic sayings to these times.
A new job advertisement, reported by PlayStation Lifestyle after being seen on reset era, strongly suggests that the company might be trying to hire an engineer to fix its emulation of PS3. Added to this is the rumor that both disks and other peripherals would be working in some way on the console.
This is what is described in the new announcement of worked in the LinkedIn of PlayStation:
Our Software Development Engineer position works in the PlayStation Studios Technology and Tools team to support the recently re-released “Classics” for PS4 and PS5. Classic games run through emulation of legacy PlayStation platforms. As an engineer on Classics, he will work closely with a group of other engineers, producers, and QA teams to fix bugs, add new features, and develop new emulators.
The phrase of developing emulators is key in the position, since it can imply the creation of games running natively on the latest device from PlayStation. And this not only involves PS3since also Playstation Vita could be seen involved in such development, bringing to life again some lost games like Uncharted laptop.
