Russian Defense Ministry: air defense forces shot down four drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the Yaroslavl and Vladimir regions
On the night of Thursday, June 13, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) tried to attack two regions of Russia – the Yaroslavl and Vladimir regions. The Ministry of Defense reported this to journalists.
They clarified that four drones tried to attack Russian territory in total. Three of them were shot down by air defense systems over the Yaroslavl region, and another one over the Vladimir region. The defense department called Ukraine’s actions an attempt to carry out a terrorist attack on targets on Russian territory.
As the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Evraev, clarified, there was no damage or casualties at the site where the drones fell – they were destroyed on approach to Yaroslavl. The head of the region asked residents not to approach the wreckage of the drones if they were discovered.
On Monday, June 10, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also tried to attack the Yaroslavl region. According to unofficial data, a total of three drones were shot down over the region – their target was an oil refinery. No one was injured and no damage was recorded. All three downed drones fell in the area of ββthe M8 highway. Car traffic there was blocked while the special services were working.
