Two dead and two injured after a shooting on a bus in Florida

The driver managed to take the bus to the police station.

The suspected shooter is in custody. The causes are still unknown.

Two people died and two others had to be hospitalized after a shooting that occurred this Thursday inside a public transport bus that was traveling through the city of Fort Lauderdale, in Florida (USA), according to the authorities.

The Police of the aforementioned city north of Miami confirmed on social networks that the “alleged shooter is already in custody” and that “one of the victims died at the scene of the shooting and the other at the hospital” to which she was rushed.

What’s more, as a result of the shooting, a “car accident” took place that left three other people injured that they were treated by health personnel at the scene of the events and that forced the closure of the area to traffic.

The injured were rushed to Broward Health Medical Center and at least two of them were in critical condition, the Fire Department said.

Police said the bus driver was uninjured in the shooting, the cause of which is still unknown.

Investigators said four people received gunshot wounds as the bus headed west on Broward Boulevard.

The bus driver managed to guide the vehicle to a nearby police station.but when maneuvering to enter the parking lot, he caused the collision with other vehicles.

The suspect turned himself in to officers in the same parking lot.
