Blasphemous It is one of the best metroidvanias of recent years, but it is also quite controversial precisely because of its theme and the way it handles certain elements of Catholic culture. An important part of what makes it so spectacular is its soundtrack, which was recently used by a television channel without the authorization of its developers.
south channela popular TV channel in Spainpublished a video where they seek to promote the festivities for the Easter in Andalusiabut the problem is that they used the same song as Blasphemous when they announced their latest DLC.
Warning: these images may arouse your sensitivity. If you shed a tear, think that we do too. This is how we start on March 3 in @canalsur.
The music is by the great Carlos Viola, @karuritosu. pic.twitter.com/3IvOGgWndk

The Game Kitchen, developers of this game, responded to the tweet in a very relieved way, and even suggested to south channel contact them next time so they can recommend additional songs.
We have a fan of @BlasphemousGame on @CanalSur, and we love that! We can gladly recommend more songs from our BSO for these purposes if you contact us next time.😉 https://t.co/P0ssF9Bgka

In subsequent tweets, the Spanish studio even jokes about the possibility of collaborating with Canal Sur to make a live-action of Blasphemouswith everything and the Penitent.
editor’s note: This type of case has become much more frequent, and at least here it did not happen to majors. We also don’t know what kind of deal The Game Kitchen has with the Blasphemous composer, but they certainly could have taken legal action against the outlet.
