Transport|The track is being repaired between Malmi and Tikkurila, which is disrupting train traffic.
On the main track urgent repair work will be done on the electric line on Friday afternoon. The National Rail Transport Center informs that this may cause delays and cancellation of individual trains.
K-train runs the section between Oulunkylä and Tikkurila without stopping at intermediate stations. Pukinmäki, Malmi, Tapanila and Puistola will therefore remain in between until the repair work is completed.
It is estimated that the work will continue until around two o’clock. One track will be taken out of service between Malmi and Tikkurila.
I and P trains run, but they stop in Puistola and Tapanila exceptionally on track 4.
Long-distance trains and R and Z trains can also be late.
Tikkurila extensive modification works are being carried out in the vicinity of the station this summer as well, due to which train service intervals have already been reduced for more than half a year.
