TikTok is partnering with Eventim to give artists the opportunity to sell concert tickets directly via video links. Available now in Germany.
TikTok, the popular platform for short videos, is entering into a new partnership with ticket distributor Eventim. This collaboration introduces an innovative feature that allows verified artists to integrate concert ticket links directly into their videos.
Easy ticket purchasing option directly in TikTok videos
The new feature is specifically designed to strengthen the connection between artists and their fans and simplify ticket purchasing. Verified artists now have the opportunity to link to the CTS Eventim platform directly in their TikTok video using the “Insert link” option. This allows fans to purchase tickets without detours and directly via the video description.
This is how the integration of Eventim into TikTok works
After selecting the “CTS EVENTIM” function, artists can select an event and link it in their video. A button then appears in the video description for users, which takes them directly to Eventim, where they can buy tickets immediately.
Availability and outlook on international markets
According to Eventim, the new feature is now available in Germany. Plans to expand to additional countries are already in development, which could further strengthen TikTok and Eventim’s global reach. This initiative not only provides a convenient way for fans to purchase concert tickets, but also promotes direct interaction between artists and their community.
The partnership between TikTok and Eventim could usher in a new era in music promotion and ticket sales, leveraging technology-based solutions to improve the experience for users and artists alike. Fans should keep an eye on this new option as it allows them to support their favorite artists while gaining easy and quick access to live events. Recently there have been negative headlines surrounding the platform, as TikTok is on the verge of a total ban in the USA, caused by political tensions. The platform’s parent company, ByteDance, prefers shutting down rather than selling TikTok in the US.
