According to the investigation, the man would indicate how crimes perpetrated by subcontracted criminal gangs should be carried out.
In addition, it could also be linked to two of the most notorious crimes this year on the Latin American continent: the murders of former Venezuelan lieutenant Ronald Ojeda and Chilean major Emmanuel Sánchez.
However, its relationship with these events has not yet been proven.

The only image we have so far of the criminal’s face was revealed this Wednesday exclusively during the program 24 hoursfrom the Chilean chain TVN.
The photo in question is from a video call between ‘El Turco’ and the husband of one of his victims, whom he constantly blackmailed.
“Those are the dynamics that we are seeing in the criminal transformation of Latin America, not only in Chile, which creates the need or obligation to seek relationships with other countries, with other police forces or with other penitentiary centers that allow this information to be delivered. Unfortunately, not all Latin American countries are in a position to provide this information,” said Pablo Zeballos, international Organized Crime investigator – quoted by TVN-.
Venezuelan prosecutor denies Chile’s accusation of lack of cooperation for Ojeda’s crime
The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, assured last Friday that the Caribbean country has collaborated with Chile in relation to the case of Ronald Ojeda, a former Venezuelan military officer murdered in Santiago, and accused the southern country of “lying” about the lack of cooperation.
Through X, the prosecutor showed photos of the “responses sent to the Chilean Prosecutor’s Office” about the Ojeda case.
He assured that he responded to three requests, including that for “inter-institutional cooperation”, received on April 9 of this year, via email, and responded to on April 18 and 23.
He also responded to the “request for mutual assistance in criminal matters”, received on April 15 by email, and three days later through diplomatic channels, and was responded to on May 29 of this year, according to the evidence shown by the official.
He also explained that, in addition, an “immigration report”, “biographical data” and “biometric data” of Walter Rodríguez and Maickel Villegas were sent, whom the Chilean Prosecutor’s Office indicates as “main participants” in the murder.

On April 12, the Chilean Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohá, stated that the Government “will demand that Venezuela fulfill its responsibilities” in relation to the Ojeda case. On June 5, Saab accused Chile of having not provided “absolutely no” information and demanded “reciprocity” on the case.
Saab said at that time that the murder of the former military man was an operation to “cloud” relations between Venezuela and Chileand pointed out as possible responsible parties Chilean and foreign intelligence bodies “with spurious interests.”
In response to these statements, the president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, announced on June 6 that he had sent a note of protest to Venezuela and said that “the comments of the Venezuelan prosecutor effectively show that there is no adequate will to resolve a case.” which is tremendously complex.”
The president assured that he will adopt “all measures” within his reach to find those responsible for the crime.
