The chief prosecutor of the Israeli ArmyYifat Tomer Yerushalmi, acknowledged this Monday that the bombing of an evacuee camp in Rafah, south of Gaza, was “very serious“, as he declared in an intervention before Israeli lawyers.
“Naturally, in a war of such scope and intensity, complex incidents also occur,” he said. “Some of the incidents, like last night in Rafah, are very serious.”
Yerushalmi announced that the armed forces are carrying out an investigation into the attack, which occurred against a “safe area” that the Army had not yet ordered to evacuate in the Tal al Sultan neighborhood, northwest of Rafah.

“There have been attacks against a civilian camp in the Tal al Sultan area, where MSF has a stabilization center for the wounded,” the organization’s medical coordinator in Gaza, Martina Marchio, said in a statement.
In his testimony, Marchio assured that, as a result of the “multiple bombings” in Rafah, his workers received up to 128 injured, 28 of whom arrived dead.
