White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that the United States has data on provocations in Ukraine, which are being prepared by Russia. This is reported TASS.
According to a White House spokesman, “Russian agents of influence” began to fabricate provocations in the state media and the Internet in order to “justify Russian interference and sow division in Ukraine.”
“For example, Russian officials and agents of influence are focusing on stories of a worsening human rights situation in Ukraine and an increase in the militancy of Ukrainian leaders,” Psaki said.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense (GUR MO) of Ukraine accused Russia of preparing provocations. In Kiev, they claim that the Russian special services are preparing provocations against their own servicemen in order to blame Ukraine for this.
Earlier, CNN published material according to which the United States has information that Russia has trained a special military group that will have to carry out a special operation in Donbas under a false flag. The US presidential administration fears that this operation may precede a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, which could begin from mid-January to mid-February.
The Kremlin reacted to the publications. According to the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, allegations that Russia is preparing provocations in the Donbass are unfounded. He noted that earlier such publications had already appeared, but were not confirmed by anything.
