Political scientist and director of the Institute of Contemporary State Development Dmitry Solonnikov on Sunday, November 7, in an interview with Izvestia, commented on the statement of the Ukrainian writer and philosopher Pyotr Kravlyuk about five regions of Russia that “should be part of Ukraine” by ethnic factors.
“In my opinion, Russia should not pay attention to the statements of not very healthy people. The percentage of sick people per head is about the same all over the world, in Russia the same as in Ukraine, in Ukraine – the same as in the whole world, ”the expert noted.
According to the political scientist, in Ukraine they like to rewrite history, putting forward rather strange theories. Such, for example, there is somehow that Alexander the Great was Ukrainian, the Egyptian pyramids were built by Ukraine, Jesus Christ was Ukrainian, and the Black Sea dug up ancient ukry.
“Well, now they wrote that part of the Russian lands belongs to Ukraine. There is no need to pay attention to this, this is an unofficial position, ”he said.
Solonnikov emphasized that the question of the belonging of the Russian regions to Ukraine is only the private opinion of the “science fiction writer”.
“Well, you never know what he wrote there. Even though the Ukrainians were the first to fly to the moon and the moon belongs to Ukraine, ”he explained.
In this issue, according to the analyst, Russia should pay attention and sort out the official position of the Ukrainian authorities, in particular, about Kiev’s desire to return Crimea.
“In Ukraine, the information space is fully moderated – with the most severe censorship, the closure of TV channels, the revocation of licenses and media ownership rights. Such bacchanalia, such pressure on the media has not been found anywhere for a long time. In Russia, this has never happened, and it is not now. The speech of an insignificant writer is a drop in the ocean. They are brainwashed much more seriously there, ”Solonnikov concluded.
On November 5, Kraluk accused the leadership of the USSR of distributing Ukrainian territories to other republics and said that five regions of Russia – Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh and Rostov regions – “belong to Ukraine.”
On the eve of another Russian political scientist Andrei Koshkin called the statement of the Kiev writer “complete nonsense.” According to him, “this kind of sick fantasies” are presented in the information space in order to fill the minds of the Ukrainian population with something.
In his opinion, during the years of the USSR, most Ukrainians ended up outside the borders of their historical homeland, and there are “many Ukrainian ethnic territories” in Russia, for example, Starodubshchina and Slabozhanshchina.
