The Saudi Minister of Health, Fahd Al-Jalajel, wrote on the “X” platform: “Our dear colleague Abdullah Abdul Karim Al-Harithi died while serving the guests of the Most Merciful in the holy sites. May God forgive him and have mercy on him… Sincere condolences and sympathy to his family and loved ones, and to God we belong and to Him we shall return.”
Activists on social media platforms and Al-Harithi’s colleagues expressed their sadness over his death, describing him as having good morals and dedication to work.
Many pointed to his distinguished role in serving pilgrims and organizing health work in the holy sites.
The journalist, Muhammad Al-Sunaid, who tweeted, via his account on the “X” platform, said: “God has what He takes, and He has what He gives, and everything with Him has a set term. May God bless everyone and his honorable family. We ask God to have mercy on him and forgive him and send them to the homes of the righteous, and to provide for his family.” And patience and solace to his family.
Haji Al-Hajji, a former official in the Saudi Ministry of Health, wrote in his obituary: “I was saddened by the passing of my colleague Abdullah Abdul Karim Al-Harithi, who died while he was at work after supervising the preparation of health centers on the Jamarat Bridge to serve the guests of God. May God bless him with his vast mercy.”
It is noteworthy that Al-Harithi had been participating in the Hajj seasons for many years, as he was part of the Ministry of Health team that was deployed in the holy sites to provide health care to millions of pilgrims, especially the elderly.
