A pioneer bullfighting regulation
The Junta de Andalucía has maintained constant support for bullfighting, not only with the Andalusian Awards of Bullfighting, which will soon be announced the second edition of awards, but also with pioneer measures such as bullfighting regulationsagreed with other regional communities to be a national reference. A text that has already been approved by the Bullfighting Council of Andalusia and to which the Governing Council will soon give a definitive green light.
To all this is added that the Andalusian government is betting on the formation and promotion of bullfighting culture through collaboration with the Andalusian Association of Bullfighting Schools ‘Pedro Romero’composed of about thirty centers distributed throughout the community. Also, since 2020, collaborates with the Toro de Lidia Foundation in the Andalusia bullfighting circuit project. In this sense, the Minister of the Presidency has stressed that “we were the first Andalusian community to promote this circuit, and then many others were added, something we are proud.”
Both projects are visible thanks to the broadcast of bullfighting shows by Canal Sur TVwith an average of 16% of ‘Share’, a very high quota, the result of the good reception that these celebrations have. Last season the accumulated audience exceeded four million viewers which, for Sanz, demonstrates «That the bull world is not irrelevant, as Minister Urtasun said; These data show them, as well as the places are filled ».
Another tool for the promotion of bullfighting is Network of Bullfighting Municipalities of Andalusia (Resta)that shields and protects the party from political and institutional attacks and has 155 municipalities attached.
«We continue to make decisions that benefit the world of bulls, all the people who live on it, and all Spaniards who enjoy the national holidayof an art that is part of our culture and of our custom, of an economic and tourist engine, a source of employment generation, ”concluded the counselor.
