Meanwhile, heavy rains have hit Oman, causing heavy flooding that has caused 18 deaths, according to the country's National Emergency Management Committee. Among them were also 10 schoolchildren who were hit while they were inside a vehicle. The rainfall also affected the United Arab Emirates, flooding portions of the main highways and leaving vehicles abandoned on the streets of Dubai.
