This, due to the suspicion that David Knezevich, husband and main suspect in the case, disposed of Ana María’s body during his return to Serbia, his native country, according to information revealed by sources close to the investigation to Infobae Spain.
The main theory of the Spanish police, which works jointly with the United States FBI, suggests that Ana María’s body was found inside the suitcase with which Knezevich was seen leaving from his wife’s apartment on April 2, the last day Henao was seen alive.
Thus, everything seems to indicate that during his car journey back to Serbia, and before crossing the border with France, Knezevich disposed of the body at a point located between Madrid and Zaragoza, which the police are currently seeking to identify.
David Knezevich was arrested by the FBI after traveling from Belgrade to Miami.
