Stoltenberg: hundreds of NATO officers will deal with the logistics of arms supplies to Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that several hundred alliance officers will be stationed in Germany and
will provide logistics for arms supplies to Ukraine, reports TASS.
“At the summit in Washington in a few weeks, a decision will be made to transfer to NATO the coordination of arms supplies to Ukraine and the organization of military training,” he said.
According to the Secretary General, the alliance’s officers will most likely be based at the American base in the German city of Wiesbaden, and their work will be led by one of the lieutenant generals. Stoltenberg clarified that their task will be to organize and simplify the supply of military aid to Kyiv, determine the means it needs, train soldiers, and transfer various data.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin explained for what purpose Western countries supply Ukraine with funds, weapons and intelligence. He emphasized that the United States is pushing the country to use Western weapons to strike Russia.
